'Twas a week before Christmas, and Lola had spied,
A big pile of gifts her folks tried to hide.
"Herbie!" she whispered, "Letās peek, just a bit!"
Then Herb flicked his tail, "Alright, but be quick!"
With paws and with claws, they untied each bow,
Then giggled and swapped all the tags in a row.
But under the twinkle of bright Christmas lights,
They tied back each box, just as quiet as mice.
Though trouble was stirred, their hearts were sincereā
They snuck in a note: āMerry Christmas this year!ā

The Sweetest Dog Ever Rescued
Pierce was rescued from a very hot road on a scorching summer day in the southwest.
Rescuers picked him up and cooled him down on the way to the vet, and he slowly started to recognize the love he was receiving from the humans around him.
Pierceās rescuers didnāt expect that he would be the most amazing dog theyād ever rescued. As youāll see, he has a gentle nature and an incredible affection for one of the men who rescued him.
Pierce found his forever home on a sunny farm where he can run freely, but the impression he left on his rescuers will never fade.
The holiday season is a magical time for families, including our beloved pets. While itās tempting to include them in all the festivities, itās important to ensure their safety and comfort. Hereās a quick guide to help you and your furry friends enjoy Christmas to the fullest:
Keep Your Decorations Pet-Safe
Christmas decorations are beautiful, but they can pose risks for curious pets. Secure your tree to prevent tipping, and avoid placing fragile or glass ornaments within reach. Tinsel, ribbons, and string may look appealing to pets but can cause dangerous blockages if ingested. Electric cords for lights should be kept out of reach or covered to prevent chewing hazards.
Toxic holiday plants like poinsettias, holly, and mistletoe are common decorations that can harm pets if ingested. Consider opting for artificial versions or placing them in areas inaccessible to pets. A little precaution goes a long way in ensuring a safe and festive environment.
Key Points:
Secure Christmas trees and avoid fragile, low-hanging ornaments.
Keep tinsel, ribbons, and string away from pets.
Use cord protectors to prevent chewing on lights.
Replace toxic plants with pet-safe alternatives.
Make Festivities Fun and Inclusive
Pets are part of the family, and they can join in the holiday fun too! Create a personalized stocking filled with safe toys and treats that match the festive spirit. Consider holiday-themed chew toys, squeaky plushies, or puzzle toys made from non-toxic materials. DIY gifts, such as homemade pet treats or catnip toys, can also be a thoughtful option.
Include your pets in family holiday photos to create lasting memories. If you want them to wear costumes or accessories, ensure theyāre comfortable and not restrictive. Simple steps like these help make pets feel special and included in the celebrations.
Key Points:
Fill a stocking with safe holiday-themed toys and treats.
Opt for non-toxic materials for pet gifts.
Include pets in family photos with safe costumes or accessories.
DIY gifts are a fun, budget-friendly option.
Plan for Travel or Guests
Whether youāre traveling or hosting guests, plan ahead for your petās comfort. If youāre hitting the road, secure your pet with a harness or carrier and bring along essentials like their favorite blanket or toys. Take breaks during long trips for exercise and bathroom needs. For air travel, check airline pet policies and have all necessary documentation ready.
If youāre staying home but expecting guests, create a quiet space where your pet can retreat if they feel overwhelmed. Inform visitors about house rules for pets, like keeping doors closed or avoiding table scraps. Proper preparation ensures a stress-free holiday for everyone.
Key Points:
Secure pets in a harness or carrier during travel.
Pack familiar items like toys or blankets to ease anxiety.
Provide a quiet space for pets when hosting guests.
Inform visitors about pet safety rules.
