💌 Dog's Life Saved by Love

+ World's Largest Dog Meets World's Smallest

Hey, Petlovers!

Lola & Herbie held a Pets of The World panel this week, where world-leading pets had a hard discussion on the age old issue of the “terrifying and despicable” issue of vacuum cleaners. The panel lead to sweeping, worldwide regulations that all humans must dispose of and, if possible, destroy all vacuum cleaners in the next 60 days.

When asked for comment, Herbie stated that humans will have to “eat crumbs, dust, and dirt off of the floors like the rest of us, or sweep.” 🧹

A Dog Owner’s Guide to Skin Allergies, Itching, & Irritation

Why so many dogs suffer—and what you can actually do about it.

From constant scratching to mysterious hot spots, skin issues are some of the most common reasons dogs end up at the vet. Triggers range from seasonal allergies and food sensitivities to yeast overgrowth, mites, or environmental irritants like grass, dust, or even cleaning products. Many dogs suffer chronically—and it’s not always easy to find the root cause.

A good starting point is understanding the difference between external triggers and internal imbalances. Some dogs react to pollen or flea bites. Others may need a change in diet to eliminate food-based allergens. If your dog is licking their paws constantly, developing rashes, or has dry, flaky skin, it’s worth exploring both angles.

🧴Natural Ways to Soothe Itching and Irritation

There are more natural options available than ever before—some with impressive results. Topical solutions like balms and oils can relieve symptoms fast, especially when paired with internal support. Ingredients like CBD, vitamin E, beeswax, and herbal blends have anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties that many pet parents swear by.

Topicals work best when applied to specific trouble spots—like paws, noses, and hot spots. But if your dog’s issues are more widespread, adding a supplement or oil to their daily routine may support the skin from the inside out.

Herbal Remedies Worth Trying

Not every itch needs a prescription. There are safe, vet-approved home remedies you can try—especially for mild allergies or seasonal flare-ups. Herbal options like chamomile, nettle, and calendula can calm inflammation, while remedies like oatmeal soaks or diluted apple cider vinegar rinses may help manage yeast or hot spots.

🧪 When to Consider CBD or Over-the-Counter Help

CBD is becoming a popular tool in the fight against chronic itching—especially for dogs with anxiety-driven scratching or ongoing inflammation. Many dog owners report fewer flare-ups and better skin condition after adding CBD to their routine, either orally or through targeted topicals. Others find relief using OTC tools like Zyrtec or Benadryl—though these should only be used under veterinary guidance.

📣 Takeaway: You’re Not Alone—and You Have Options

If your dog’s been itching, licking, or flaking, you’re far from alone—and there are things you can try that don’t involve harsh meds or endless vet bills. Whether it's switching to a limited-ingredient diet, soothing hotspots with balm, or starting a CBD routine, progress is possible with the right support.
