Hey, Petlovers!

Hereā€™s a list of things weā€™d compare this newsletter to:

  • A good cup of coffee ā˜•ļø

  • Your dogā€™s ā€œbig stretchā€ šŸ•

  • A smile from a friend šŸ˜Š

If this newsletter brings you joy, makes you laugh, or even teaches you a thing or two, we have something small to ask.

The Lola & Herbie Club is the price of a cup of coffee each month, and it allows us to keep the Lola & Herbie newsletter running. Supporters make it possible to provide this newsletter for free to those who arenā€™t able to spare that extra $4 per month.

Plus, $1 of each memberā€™s monthly contribution is donated to shelters and rescue missions. As a thank you, we share stories about the individual animals helped with members of The Lola & Herbie Club.

Thereā€™s no pressure to join - but consider helping us keep a good thing going for the people and pets who need a little extra love. šŸ’Œ

The Adventures of Lola & Herbie
ā€œThe Daily Grindā€

The sun shines down on Lola & Herbie as they dream the morning away.

Per usual, theyā€™re deep in dreams of treats when the alarm clock startles them awake.

Itā€™s a weekday and theyā€™ve got to get to work.

After all, they have a very important job to do!

Squeezing into mismatched work clothes, they scramble to look presentable.

Herbie budges past Lola to clock in first. Heā€™s been late a few too many times recently!

The instant they punch their cardsā€¦itā€™s off to the races!

Lola zooms, knocking over everything on the ground level. She speeds, whips, flails, barks, and bucks her way through the house.

Herbie takes the high road, leaping over everything Lola canā€™t reach. He pounces and pushes over any piece of home decor that catches his eye. Full cups of coffee, potted plants, lamps, and picture frames all go flying.

Nothing is safe!

Itā€™s hard work, but someone has to do it.

This is their responsibility as the founders of Zoomies Corpā„¢ļø. Who would disrupt the cleanliness and order of their tidy home, if not for Lola & Herbie?

The End.

Last Weekā€™s Poll Responses

ā€œQuestions for Dr. McLeod, D.V.M.ā€

Featured Question:

ā€œI rescued a Corgi from a horrific situation. She tested positive for Ehrlichia but shows no sign of the disease. Iā€™m told she will always test positive. My question is how will I know if she actually has active disease? Thank you for your help!ā€

Response:

"Yes, your Corgi will test positive but only worry about an active infection if they lose a lot of weight very fast, have a fever, show signs of anemia such as pale gums, or become lethargic. In such situations, visit your vet so that they can check for any abnormalities, such as a high white blood cell count to confirm an Ehrlichia infection, then determine an appropriate course of treatment."
