💌 The Howling Pug 📢 🐕

+ The Latest Lola & Herbie Comic

Hey, Petlovers!

We’re excited to announce that our brand Lolahemp has been in business for 6 years as of yesterday! We couldn’t have done it without newsletter readers like you, whether you’ve used our products for your pets or not.

Lola & Herbie tried to celebrate this anniversary by flying out to a nice Italian place in New Jersey for some authentic “gabagool.” They’ve been watching the Sopranos lately. Fortunately, we caught Herbie punching in our credit card information just before he bought some pricey first-class plane tickets.

We’re thanking you all with 30% off everything on the site. 💌

Here’s what’s in store this week:

(for no apparent reason)

  • Floki is a tiny little old man with a big voice.

  • He screams at the top of his lungs, simply because he loves doing it!

  • He’s not in pain, he’s not scared, and he’s healthy.

  • After the first few seconds of screaming it’s hard not to laugh.

  • The annoyed look on his dachshund brother’s face is equally hilarious 😹

  • An 11-year-old boy was stuck in his home after a mudslide slammed into their house and crumbled the walls.

  • Everyone in the home was safe and accounted for, except for the boy who nobody could find.

  • The situation seemed dire, and the only reason the boy was found was his dog, Tucker.

  • Tucker stood above the pile of rubble the boy was under, howling and indicating that his best friend was right beneath him. He wouldn’t leave until they pulled him out safely.

The Adventures of Lola & Herbie
“The Art of Birding”
Artwork & Script by David Recine

One lazy afternoon, Herbie fills Lola in on one of his favorite activities - “birding.”

Lola creeps to the window and immediately approves of this mesmerizing new activity.

Our two mischievous mascots are finally at peace. The bird is so beautiful, so graceful.

These two have never been so calm…

…until Herbie shows Lola his favorite part of birding — startling the bird.

Naturally, the bird zooms away leaving Lola confused. Herbie is satisfied with a job well done.

Disappointed, Lola asks Herbie why he would ruin the moment by scaring the bird away.

Herbie replies with a slice of seasoned wisdom about the realities of cats and dogs.

The End.

There has to be a better way

This is the story of a man named James who applied for 50-60 appartments, only to be refused because of his dog.

His beloved dog named Bruno wasn’t allowed, and the town James lived in was simply unaccommodating. He debated whether or not to be homeless with his dog.

Sadly, the situation required him to give his dog up for adoption in order to find a place to live. While that seems unthinkable, you’ll have to read James’ full story below to truly understand what a difficult situation this is for some people.
